A Chocolate Lover’s Dream at the Perugina Factory

kids dream at perugina

Yesterday, my daughter and I had the sweetest experience ever—a guided tour of the Perugina Chocolate Factory in Perugia! 🍬💙

The visit lasted around 1.5 hours, and it was incredible to step inside the actual factory and see the production of Perugina’s famous chocolates. Since it’s Easter season, we got to watch the making of the beautifully wrapped Easter eggs, which was truly fascinating! I have a feeling that in summer, when production slows down, there might be a bit less to see.

Of course, we also got to witness the creation of Baci Perugina, the iconic chocolate and hazelnut praline with its legendary love notes. Fun fact: every single Bacio in the world is made right here in Perugia! 😍

And let’s talk about the best part—the tasting! 🍫✨ We tried the entire Baci Perugina range, from the classic dark chocolate to the white, milk, and even the special editions. Each bite was a little piece of heaven!

Before leaving, we visited the factory shop, where you can find exclusive chocolate collections and beautifully packaged gifts. The museum also showcases amazing vintage ads and historical images, which tell the story of Perugina’s legacy since its founding in 1907.

If you love chocolate, this tour is an absolute must when visiting Perugia! But between us… for us, the best chocolate in the world is made by Uncle Peppe in Bali with Primo Bali! 🍫🌿💛
